Who maintains Traverse?

Traverse is created and maintained by Enrico Piovesan. The project is open source under Apache 2.0 and hosted under the traverse-framework GitHub organization. Community contributions are welcome.

About the author

Enrico Piovesan is the author of the Universal Microservices Architecture (UMA) book and the Contract-Driven AI Development (C-DAD) whitepaper. Traverse is the reference implementation of those ideas — a runtime built to demonstrate that contract-governed, portable business capabilities are practical to build and deploy today.

Project governance

Traverse is currently maintained by a small core team. Major decisions on API design, feature prioritization, and breaking changes go through the project maintainer. The roadmap is public — see roadmap — and community input on priorities is welcome through GitHub issues.

How to reach the maintainers

  • Open an issue on GitHub for bugs or feature requests
  • Start a discussion on GitHub for design questions or proposals
  • Submit pull requests for bug fixes and small improvements

Long-term sustainability

Traverse is built on a foundation of published methodology (the UMA book) rather than a single company's strategic interest. The goal is for the project to grow a contributor community over time. If you are using Traverse in production, contributing back is the best way to keep the project healthy.
